1st October, 2018: Street Play themed “Sanitation is Everyone’s
Business” in observation of Swachhta Hi Seva jointly organised by
NSS & Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Kohima Unit
The NSS Unit and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Committee of KCK jointly observed “Swachhta Hi Seva” under the theme “Sanitation is Everyone’s Business”. As part of the program, the NSS and SBA volunteers organized and performed a Street Play at Billy Graham Road, and participated in Sanitation Drive. The Street play was aimed at creating awareness among the general public on the issues of cleanliness, sanitation and segregation of waste. After the Street Play, Sanitation Drive was carried out along Billy Graham Road. The volunteers then cleaned up the College Campus and dispersed after light refreshment. A total of 33 volunteers, 1 NSS Program Officer and 3 members of the SBA Committee participated in the activity.
1st October, 2018: Blood Donation for the Red Ribbon Club, Kohima College
4 NSS volunteers donated blood during the Blood Donation Camp conducted by the Red Ribbon Club KCK.
24th September, 2018: Cleanliness Drive in observation of NSS Day
The NSS unit, Kohima College, observed “NSS Day” in the form of social work. Cleanliness drive was conducted inside the College Campus with participation from 51 student volunteers & 2 Program Officers.
16th August, 2018: Seminar on “Swachhta”
A seminar on “Swachhta” was organised by the NSS, Kohima College unit, by inviting a Guest Speaker to exhort the volunteers. The program was attended by the NSS volunteers & 2 (Two) Program Officers of NSS, KCK unit. At the end of the program, the “Swachhta Pledge” was undertaken by all the participants of the program. Furthermore, after the conclusion of the program, the volunteers also made wall posters in the Conference Hall, KCK, to spread awareness about the importance of cleanliness.
1st -15th August, 2018: “Swachhta Pakhwada”
The NSS, KCK unit, observed “Swachhta Pakhwada” wherein the volunteers participated in various activities related to cleanliness.
7th July, 2018: Cleanliness Drive at the Kohima College Campus
The NSS, KCK unit, conducted a Cleanliness drive inside the College Campus and cleaned up the classrooms and toilets of the College.
5th June, 2018: Awareness campaign on the theme “Beat Plastic
Pollution” on World Environment Day
The NSS, KCK unit observed “World Environment Day” in the form of an Awareness
campaign on the theme “Beat Plastic Pollution”.
