IQAC NAAC
The IQAC NAAC of the college was constituted on the 19th November 2010 to act as an internal mechanism for sustenance, assurance and enhancement of the quality culture of the college. The IQAC is instrumental in planning, guiding and monitoring Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Enhancement (QE) of the college in its strive towards academic excellence. It also act as a nodal agency for coordinating quality related activities-academic, administrative and co-curricular of the various committees of the college and adoption and dissemination of good practices.

Current Activities
- Mentoring programme for students on a one –on-one basis.
- Organise internal Interdepartmental Seminars, seminars, workshops, lecture programmes
- Capacity and skill development programmes for faculty, staff and students.
- Orientation programmes for ministerial staff.
- Publication of annual journal and annual college magazine.
- Preparation of Questionnaire for students, parents and alumni.
- Career Guidance and counseling.
- Life skill training for student.
- Co-curricular activities for students.
- Monitor and encourage extension service for faculty and students.
- Oversee the activities of students and various cells and committees of the college as reflected in the detailed report of the co-curricular activities.
Achievements
Mentoring programme has boosted the confidence of de-motivated students. It has helped built up teacher-student relationship and improvement in class attendance and involvement in co-curricular activities. Drop-out rate in the college in the past two years have dropped to 0.04%.
Initiative of the IQAC interdepartmental seminar have encouraged faculty to write research papers which are published in the college annual journal. This has created a research atmosphere among the teaching fraternity.
Capacity building and skill development programmes, workshops, orientations, seminars, talks and lecture programmes, etc organized for faculty, staff and students is another major activity of the IQAC which have proved beneficial to all concerned.
Feedback from various stakeholders like the students, alumni and parents in the form of questionnaire prepared by IQAC has been instrumental in realizing our strength and weaknesses and determining our SWOT analysis.
Participation of faculty and students in co-curricular activities is closely monitored by IQAC. Apart from normal academic duties, most of the faculty are actively involved numerous extension works. A good number of students are national level state sportspersons in taekwondo, football, archery and boxing. Participation of students in essay writing, debate and other competitions at state level and district level have brought laurels to the college. |
